The Message in a Bottle

So I heard the song by The Police called, " Message in a Bottle." I thought how that could be us and our Christianity. Think about it. The message is the word of God. And we are the bottle. But, the sea we float in is quite different. We float in a sea of lies and deceit. Of pain and desire. Of guilt and greed. Those things, we don't need. How we try and try to brave the sea of sin, only to be drowned by our own weakness. And when we pray, it should be with our hearts, not our sadness or grief, or that little thing we needed just then. And when we face the sea, we should never do it alone. The sea is large, and you are small. But with help, you stand a better chance of spreading God's word. And the sea is one thing. The storms are another. Think about those times you have been beaten and scarred and thrown aside like you don't matter. DO NOT GIVE IN. Think about the times Jesus could have given up. But he didn't. And he prevailed. So, don't face the sea alone. It's a dangerous thing. But with preparation, and friends to help, it can be a heck of a lot easier.
